Colin Topley
Colin Topley, a recently retired Senior Vice President with Meyers, Norris Penny, has worked exclusively in corporate insolvency since 1978, acting in various capacities including receiver/manager, trustee in proposal to creditors, trustee in bankruptcy, preparing viability assessments and acting as a monitor and agent for secured creditors. He has been involved in over 150 corporate reorganizations, receiverships and bankruptcies and has been associated with a number of corporate workout situations.
Mr. Topley develops look-sees, feasibility studies, corporate reorganizations and proposals to creditors and has also been involved in a number of fraud (forensic) investigations resulting in significant recoveries for the stakeholders. He has broad experience in many industries including financial institutions, construction, transportation, forestry, retail & wholesale distribution, " not for profit" societies, hospitality (hotels/restaurants/pubs), metal fabricators and machine shops.
Mr. Topley is a Certified General Accountant, a Chartered Insolvency Practitioner, a Trustee in Bankruptcy and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
