Bob Armstrong, Ph.D.



Bob has been a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Vancouver for over 32 years. He focuses on relationships, depression, anxiety disorders, post- traumatic stress and workplace issues and positive life planning. He taught at the Adler School of Professional Psychology from 1988-2007. Previously he was an Assistant Professor in the Counselling Psychology Department at the University of British Columbia. He is a Past-president of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology where he served on the Board for 12 years. He obtained his Ph.D. under Oscar Christensen and has studied Classical Adlerian Psychology under Henry Stein. He is trained in EMDR and clinical hypnosis. His current interests are mindfulness based cognitive therapy and interpersonal neurobiology.
